I believe that the article kind of jumps around, though i think it is well written I personally was confused about certain things. Obviously the author believes that engineering being apart of our farming methods is important enough to stay, but he contradicts himself by saying organic food are good too. I was completely confused even though he had the information there, he could have presented his argument better, but that is just my opinion. Personally I believe the government should stay out of what we eat, but at the same time something should be done to make the food we do consume so people don't get sick from pesticides and food that makes us addicted to something bad. You personally know what you should ad shouldn't eat, if a person chooses to eat it then it is that person's right to do so. Locally grown foods are a good thing but just buying home grown stuff isn't something you can do constantly lets be honest, although i think it is important to have some regulations on grown foods, like what kind of pesticides to use, it's also important we make it to where small farmers can be apart of this big process. Big business seems to be so agianst the bio engineering is because the process can cause a surplus making prices hit bock bottom prices, which obviously means no money for the big guys, but it would benefit the little guy because it's his crops being sold.
